When Gene Munster and Digitimes reported that Apple may be preparing a 7-inch version of the iPad, we dismissed those stories as baseless rumours. However, some credible sources are now reporting on the same matter.
Bloomberg reported last night that a smaller and cheaper iPad is coming later this year, and The Wall Street Journal report today that Apple is preparing a smaller iPad for September production. Both Bloomberg and WSJ claim that the screen will be between seven and eight inches, and that Apple is working with LG and AU Optronics for the display parts. My cousin who works at FoxConn declined to comment on this matter.
You got lucky this time, Munster!
