Here's a perfect Christmas gift for mothers around the world. The gizmo above is called the hiku, a grocery shopping assistant device that launched recently on Kickstarter. If you want to add something to your shopping list, you can just scan the barcode with hiku's built-in scanner or just say the name of the item to the hiku.
Like Apple's Siri, hiku sends your voice to the cloud to transcribe it. The list is synced to the hiku app for iOS through Wi-Fi, so you don't need to be near the hiku to get updates on your shopping list. This means anyone in the family can use the hiku to add items and have to access the list anywhere in the world. You can pre-order the hiku for $79 on Kickstarter.
The hiku is slated to come out in March 2013. I guess it's not the perfect Christmas since it won't be out by then. You can still print out the Kickstarter receipt and put it in a gift box? Check out the video after the break.
